Essential Apps are the must-have, killer apps that every device needs. These are usually ports or versions of popular apps from other operating systems made available for Ubuntu Touch. 

They're apps that are very important to have, based on user feedback that we recieved from our device partners.

Think of music players, messaging, multimedia and even games. Without these apps, users would just go back to their previous OS because their favorite app doesn't work. That's why we're looking for contributors who can make these apps even better.
