Porting
Porting is all about getting Ubuntu Touch up and running on new devices that haven't been able to use it before but the challenge is that most commercially available devices have crucial parts of their systems that aren't open source. So, when we port Ubuntu Touch, we need to build it in a way that it can work seamlessly with these proprietary components. This way, Ubuntu Touch can effectively communicate with the device's hardware.
We're always on the lookout for contributors to help with porting efforts. If you're interested in making Ubuntu Touch available on more devices, we'd love to have you on board!
