UBports Installer

The UBports Installer is a simple tool created to make installing Ubuntu Touch (and other operating systems!) as easy as possible for end-users. It features a nice, welcoming and sleek user interface designed to guide users through the install process.

The installer works on all major operating systems, with an exectuable for Windows, a disk image file for macOS, a Snap for Ubuntu-based systems, a .deb-package for Debian-based systems and an AppImage for all other distributions.

Installing custom firmware is a big barrier for users. Luckily, the UBports Installer has been created to make the barrier as small as possible. No need to install images from some dodgy forum somewhere, the installer detects the device and gets the correct and latest image available.

Contributors Needed

The UBPorts Installer needs constant updates to stay compatible with new devices. The latest version on Snapcraft is from 2022, and we're looking for contributors to help keep it maintained. Are you the missing piece of the puzzle?

While the UBports Installer was designed and developed for Ubuntu Touch, we also support other custom operating systems, such as postmarketOS, to make it as easy as possible for users to experiment with different systems.
