PinePhone

For open-source enthusiasts.

Port developed by Oren Klopfer.

The first fully open-source smartphone.

While other phones still require some sort of Android version installed, the PinePhone is the only phone of its class which can install and run full mainline Linux, making it very interesting for developers to develop for.

NOTE: This hardware is years old. We cannot guarantee a smooth experience and we recommend our Featured devices if you're looking for the latest and greatest.

Shut off from the world.

Want to fully disconnect? PinePhone features six different switches that can be used to configure the hardware. You can disable all wireless connectivity, camera's and the headphone jack with just a flick of the right switch.

All for early birds.

You might not get the latest and greatest hardware or the newest feature-rich software, but the Pine community is dedicated to getting as much out of the hardware as possible. If you love tinkering with your phone, then this is the one for you.

Familiar hardware.

You won't find any vendor-locked or proprietary hardware here, as all the hardware is generally available. This allows developers to worry less about figuring out the hardware, as all parts are very well documented.
